Teen hit by car in Brisbane's west

A teenage girl has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car in her home's driveway west of Brisbane.

A 15-year-old girl is in hospital after being hit by her mother reversing in their driveway west of Brisbane.

A neighbour used a jack to lift the vehicle off the girl's body after she was struck in Brassall, Ipswich, on Tuesday morning.

Acting Senior Sergeant Adam Cooper told reporters the "neighbours had heard screaming" and ran to help the distraught mother.

"Obviously mum was distraught as you would be, any mother would be if they've been involved in an incident with their child," he said.

The girl is in Lady Cilento Children's Hospital in a stable condition, a hospital spokesman said.
