Jimmy Niggles wants to see skin screening become a national priority.
He founded skin cancer prevention charity The Beard Season after his mate died of melanoma at age 26.
As part of his work with the foundation, Jimmy recently held a free skin check for 166 people at the Australian Open of surfing and found five people with stage two melanoma and 29 with early stage skin cancers.
