The “distracted boyfriend couple” have been used in a Hungarian government campaign to encourage people to have more children.
The internet’s best known dysfunctional couple became an internet viral meme in 2017 after an Instagram user posted the image with the caption “tag that friend who falls in love every month”.
The image - which now represents unfaithfulness, disloyalty and indecision - has been used by the Hungarian government to promote a new scheme that gives tax and loan benefits for big families.
The campaign is meant to boost "traditional" families to increase the country's birth rate - but Hungarians on social media were quick to point out the ironic use of the stock photos on billboards in Budapest.
Photographer Antonio Guillem used the couple in a series of stock-photos in 2015 and are available on Shutterstock.
This isn’t the only billboard related story attracting headlines in the European country after the government rushed to remove anti-European union billboards in the city.
The advertisements featured European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker with billionaire philanthropist George Soros alongside text accusing both of backing illegal immigration.

The leader of the European People’s Party Manfred Weber visited Budapest on Tuesday to seek an apology for the Billboards from Hungarian leaders.
