Gender equity's always a vexed issue. Whenever the absence of women in positions of power and authority is raised, the response is the same: no qualified women could be found.
There may be times this is correct. Like in the Middle Ages, it probably was defensible. But all-male judging and speaking panels are no longer considered acceptable, with no lesser than The Hoff himself stepping in to call out those who don't attempt to include women.

Another time you probably can't claim that you couldn't find qualified women for a judging panel is when you're actually specifically in the business of finding qualified women.
So things brings us to India's IMPACT, an arm of the Exchange4Media Group, an advertising industry body in India. They've taken on the laudible task of listing and celebrating the 50 Most Influential Women in Media, Advertising, and Marketing.
And who is going to undertake this task? Well...
Hard to image they're going to be able to come up with a list of fifty women if they struggle to identify a handful for the panel.
