As you probably know, Bastille Day celebrations in Nice were tragically interrupted by a truck which drove into a crowd of people watching the fireworks, throwing France into a state of emergency. It's the country's third terrorist attack in under two years, and so far has claimed 84 lives.
But this is France, so fashion is the real victim. Sky News interviewed Lucy Nesbitt Comaskey, an English woman who was a few blocks away, to talk what she saw.
Ms Nesbitt Comaskey recounted hearing the crash, and seeing crowds running and people screaming, and painted quite a vivid picture of the attack.
And then she said this:
"The sad thing about it, and I know this is awful and maybe a bit selfish but it did spoil our shopping trip," she said. "We bought all this lovely shopping and now I can't be bothered with it, it just doesn't mean anything now".
...
...
... maybe?

Despite the clanger, Ms Nesbitt Comaskey did come out with a few pearls of wisdom.
"It's hard enough getting on with your life, without all this going on," she philosophised. "Life's tough, even without killing people".
Right you are.
