Facebook can't seem to stop online revenge porn

This time a Melbourne men's group targeted a women's group with abuse and it's getting out of control.

Facebook appears to have an online revenge porn situation unravelling in the city of Melbourne.

BuzzFeed News discovered that gender specific group Melbourne’s Men’s Society (MMS) had been been set up in direct response to a hugely popular, but at times problematic, women’s group called Melbourne Gal Pals (MGP). MMS came under fire yesterday after it was revealed by BuzzFeed News that they had been posting pernicious content, such as nude photographs of unsuspecting victims, amongst its members and attacking the MGP group.

By 5:15pm AEST yesterday, the Melbourne’s Men’s Society group had been deactivated.

This comes in the wake of Facebook struggling to maintain community standards. High profile cases, such as the banning of feminist Clementine Ford for using her public page to out misogynist abuse she received, have highlighted their inconsistent management of the social media platform.
