Google wants you to borrow their hi-tech Trekkers
We've seen what Google's Street View can achieve, bringing you images from your local streets to the inside of the world's tallest tower. And now Google wants you to help them capture new locations.
The maps team at Google has been using Trekkers to capture the locations where Google's Street View cars can't go. Trekkers are backpacks that take 360 degree images of the surroundings.
Google has now put the call out for organisations, non-profits, universities, and researchers to apply for a loan of a Trekker to capture a new location. The images you get may be used in a future version of Google Maps.

Condoms designed to attract women
For many western countries condoms are well used as a way to prevent sexual diseases such as HIV. They're cheap, easily accessible, and many people don't have an issue using one.
However in third world countries like Africa condoms are not widely used and are often not accessible. Add to that condoms are targeted at men rather then women. But one Red Cross photographer wanted to change that.
Talia Frenkel set about to change how condom use is perceived by women in developing countries. Her goal is to supply one condom to Africa for every condom purchased in western countries.
