Japan's underground bicycle storage system

Japan is a country that can be associated with extreme efficiency. The trains run on time, they have innovative ways to save space, and now a new way to store bicycles.

ECO Cycle is a unique underground bicycle storage system. Users drop off their bikes and they are deposited into a vault in around 13 seconds. Cyclists can then pick-up their rides with the swipe of an access card.

The idea helps save space at ground level allowing open areas to be used by the public or even retail shops.





Plane engine explodes on runway

An Airbus A330 was travelling down the runway before takeoff when one of its engine's exploded.

The flight was due to leave UK's, Manchester Airport for the Dominican Republic but before the plane could even leave the ground the engine burst into flames.

The plane began swerving down the runway but the pilot managed to keep control.

Had the explosion happened a few minutes later it could have been an entirely different outcome.





Tennis pro documents life with Google Glass

Google Glass has been making headlines around the world for its potential uses. One of it's potential uses is for sport and helping athletes improve their game.

Professional tennis player Bethanie Mattek-Sands has been documenting her journey with Google Glass.

The short video posted by Google, shows how Mattek-Sands is using Glass to improve her game on and off the court.

But the question remains, will she actually wear Glass during the tournament.
