Following the nearly half-a-million protester turnout in Washington DC alone at their last demonstration, the organisers of the Women’s March have announced a follow-up protest – a strike.

The announcement was made on Monday over social media. A date for the strike has yet to be assigned.
The women's strike will call upon all women in all walks of life - in the workplace, in education, and the countless women doing unpaid labor in the home and commumity - to stop what they are doing go on strike for the day.

Support for the to-be-scheduled women’s strike has been steady and strong.
Since President Donald Trump presidency commenced on January 20, protests against his government have taken place across the world on a daily basis. 

The largest, The Women's March, inspired sister demonstrations across the world.  Over 600 Women's Marches in over 60 countries took place the day following President Trump's inauguration, with millions attending in solidarity.
