On the UN's DayOfTheGirl, report reveals we've got a long way to go, baby

Today a report was released that said only 8 per cent of Australian girls think they are treated equally to men.

Today is the United Nation's International Day Of The Girl, and organisations worldwide are shining a light on inspiring stories for girls and women.

Certain possible leaders of the free world aside, it's a day to celebrate achievements and opportunities for girls.

However, an Everyday Sexism report released to coincide with the day reports on how women in Australia feel about their status in society, and the news in't all peaches and cream.
