This government has been revealed to have a media and communications team of 37, costing 4.3 million annually. So what do they do? And is it worth it?

As there are fewer journalists working for media outlets, the number of media advisors has grown, placing a lot of emphais on getting the soundbites and photo opportunities just right. 

Over the weekend, Fairfax reported that the Office Of The Prime Minister & Cabinet created a seperate hub of thirty seven communications specialists at a cost of 4.3 million dollars annually. Scott Morrison also employs 100 communications staff, costing the public 8 million per year. In 2011 the department employed just thirteen staff.
