In today’s edition of ‘oh god, we’re all going to die, tell my mother I love her’, the melting of the Antarctic ice shelf is messing with that unassailable force, gravity.
The two polar ice caps have shrinking for decades, but so far studies have focused on the effect on rising sea levels and the threat it poses to coastal cities and Jake Gyllenhaal’s career.

But according to a new report by the European Space Agency, the melting of the Antarctic ice sheet has progressed enough to actually decrease the region’s gravity.
