These US school shooting therapy dogs were honoured with their own yearbook page

Fourteen dogs that assisted students at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School have featured in the year book – a tribute to their work after the 2018 shooting.

A team of therapy dogs who've been supporting students after the 2018 Parkland shooting have been honoured with their very own page in the school's yearbook.

On Valentine's Day 2018, a gunman opened fire at Florida's Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, killing 17 people and leaving many others injured.

In the wake of the massacre, therapy dogs were posted at the school to help students cope with the emotional trauma and grief from the shooting. They were brought back for the following school year amidst overwhelming support.
Their work has been honoured with a full page tribute in the 2018/19 yearbook: including professional photos of the canines donned in their very best attire (bow ties).
If you're not weeping at this point then we're not sure what to say.

Those featured include Molly Heller, Sophie Levy, 'Chief' McAlpin and Emma Steinbacher (among others).

Students have been encouraged to seek out their four-legged friends and sign the page.
The yearbook's Editor-In-Chief Caitlynn Tibbetts told BuzzFeed the tribute was a good representation of what the school has gone through.

"There is so much to deal with and show," she said.

"It's a hard thing to do to not make it sad and depressing, but still honor who we lost and what happened to us."

The 14 dogs were photographed last October, with students sharing sweet behind-the-scenes clips.
This year's yearbook theme is 'It All Depends' - a nod to the personal growth the school and Parkland community has gone through since the massacre.

The therapy dogs have become a key part of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas community and school life - heck, they even went to prom.
One good boy - 'Chief' - even has his own Instagram account, if you want to keep up with his work.
