Jared Sexton is not a fan of Donald Trump.

The author, editor and creative writing teacher at Georgia Southern University has attended at least two of the presidential hopeful’s rallies – and he says they’ve only gotten worse.

“A Donald Trump rally is a homophobic, misogynistic, racist nightmare,” he wrote in progressive magazine the New Republic under the headline American Horror Story.

During the most recent rally he attended in Greensboro, North Carolina, Sexton had one eye on the candidate and the other on his phone – he live tweeted the whole “visceral and terrorizing nightmare,” as he put it.

Despite accusations that he “didn’t look right,” the Assistant Professor managed to stay the whole way through. Meanwhile, protesters were being intimidated and thrown out, he says.

You can follow his coverage below, which includes some tweets from others at the rally. Not everyone agrees with what Sexton says he saw.

At the base is the official video of the rally, if you want to judge for yourself.
