AJ+, an arm of the Al Jazeera network, have released a video explaining why racially stereotyping an entire religion is dangerous.
The video explains that in years gone by, “radical” meant something completely different and was used to describe a whole range of revered people.
Or, you know, a popular The Simpsons catchphrase.
Whereas in 2016, radical is a word that is mostly reserved for Muslim extremists… and then subsequently the rest of the 1.6 billion people who also practice the religion. But for some reason white Christians who carry about mass murders seem to escape the label.

In a conversation between two versions of herself, the AJ+ reporter hilariously calls out her entire argument.
“You can’t just say that radicalisation doesn’t exist. Helllooooo what about all those people who are threatening the democratic bedrock of our country and freedom.”
And then she claps back, “The GOP Presidential candidates?" (Oooooh burn.)
Since being uploaded, the video has sparked a lot of debate on AJ+’s Facebook.

One commenter felt that the problem was in the definition of the word:
Another felt that it all came down to semantics:
While another was proud of his heritage no matter what:
And then there was a commenter who felt that her religion, despite what it might like to argue, needs to stop making excuses:
What do you think? Is the radicalisation of Muslims a myth?
