If you were ever looking for an escape, you’re not alone. 'The Office' actor John Krasinski set out a challenge a few days ago to his followers -- to send some good news.

A flurry of messages and tweets came back, and what followed was an ‘Office’ reunion between Steve Carrell and Kransinski, a story of a young teenage girl finishing her last round of therapy, and the birth of the newly minted YouTube series ‘Some Good News'.

In the first episode, Krasinski thanked everyone for sharing their heartfelt stories and explained why he started the show.

He says after years of thinking about why there wasn’t a news show dedicated to good news, he thought “enough is enough.”

“Why not us, why not now? So ladies and gentlemen, this is your fault, and this is SGN,” he said.

“I am John Krasinski and if it isn’t clear yet, I have absolutely no idea what I’m doing.”

In the first episode Krasinki interviewed his former co-star Steve Carrell, and Krasinki shared a story about how he was waiting tables while the show was piloting.

The segment fulfilled a fan of ‘The Office’ request from a week ago.

‘The Office’ reminiscences aside, Kransinki’s show focuses on uplifting stories involving everyday people. He spoke to Coco Johnson, a 15-year-old who recently finished her last round of chemotherapy. On her way home from her final treatment, a raft of friends and family came to welcome Coco back with a safe social distancing parade.

It doesn’t stop there. Krasinski has been flooded by heartwarming stories, aimed at cheering us all up.
