66 year old Sergei Skripal is a former Russian double agent.
In 2006 he was jailed in Moscow, over charges he leaked secrets to the British while serving in the Russian army back in the 90s.
Both Skripal and his daughter Yulia remain in a critical condition in hospital. The pair are being treated for ‘exposure to an unknown substance.’
