'You're paying for my therapy': Will Arnett to the creator of Bojack Horseman

You know him for Arrested Development, Bojack Horseman and he has created his own Netflix show Flaked about being a recovering alcoholic.

Of course Will Arnett is also part of the notably orange, human cast of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 along with the star of Arrow and those abs - Stephen Amell.

And even though the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise isn't technically directed by the explosion king Michael Bay himself, they certainly feel Michael Bay-ish.

It turns out there's a reason for that.

"Michael has a tremendous amount of energy, a tremendous amount of drive, (is a) very specific guy and knows exactly what he wants," says Arnett.

Amell adds: "I've never witnessed someone arrive and get to work faster than he did.

"He arrived at 4.38 and was operating the camera a with me behind it at 4.39. We probably got 4 and half hours of work done in 35 minutes."

"He just demands that everyone is good at their job and ready to go," nods Arnett. "And there's no standing around."

Over his 20 year career, Arnett has played a lot of interesting characters - many of them comedic - but interestingly enough the role that has been hardest for his headspace was an animated horse.

"I do this animated show on Netflix, Bojack Horseman, and that is definitely a - even though it's an animated show - the subject matter is kind of a bummer," he says.

"Sometimes I take that with me: it is a show about depression."

"I used to say to Raphael who created the show ... 'hey man, you're gonna pay for my therapy because this is a bummer'."
