A major fire has broken out at one of the nation's most critical fuel hubs, adding further pressure to fuel stocks at a time the country can least afford it. The Geelong oil refinery operated by Viva Energy is one of only two remaining in Australia. It supplies half of Victoria's fuel, and ten per cent of the nation's total demand. The federal government has confirmed the fire damage will impact production.
