Emotional scenes gripped federal parliament today as politicians returned to Canberra early in the wake of the Bondi terror attack. The special two-day sitting was aimed at passing new hate speech and gun ownership laws. But today was spent honouring the victims of the shooting, the first responders and the families left to heal five weeks on from the tragedy.
