Popularity of the African music genre of Afropop is on the rise, following Ghanaian-Australian singer Genesis Owusu's Album of the Year win at the 2023 ARIA awards. In Perth, one Zimbabwean-born artist is following his success closely, and on track to become the next big thing. This weekend, Adrian Dzvuke has been given the opportunity of a lifetime - to open for UK band Coldplay, in front of tens of thousands of people.
