The US and China appear to have averted an all-out trade war during crucial talks on the sidelines of the ASEAN summit in Malaysia. US President Donald Trump departed hours after Prime Minister Anthony Albanese arrived for talks with the Chinese Premier. And Prime Minister Anthony Albanese confirmed he raised last weeks' close encounter between the Chinese and Australian Air Force over the South China Sea.
