Published
WARNING: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander viewers are advised that the following story contains the name and image of an Indigenous person who has died. Almost four months after the death of five-year-old Kumanjayi Little Baby, her family and community will come together for her funeral in Alice Springs on 15 August. The funeral will be followed by the National NAIDOC Awards, which are being held in the town for the first time in 27 years. The two events will bookend a significant and emotional day for many in the Central Australian community. NITV’s Head of Indigenous News and Current Affairs Natalie Ahmat has more from Alice Springs.
