APEC partners prepare for a threatened future of high US trade tariffs

World leaders have begun arriving in Lima for the APEC Leaders' summit. Against the backdrop of an incoming Trump presidency and the threat of major tariffs, Mr Albanese has called for free and fair trade. The US has confirmed President Joe Biden will meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping on the sidelines for the last time.
