ASIO boss urges Australians to turn down the heat

The government says a review of the country’s terror threat level system is underway, after Australia's top spy conceded the current level of 'probable' doesn't convey the full severity of the danger. ASIO's Director-General Mike Burgess has pushed back on calls to prioritise certain threats in the wake of the 14 December Bondi attack. He also revealed that an Iranian-backed man who oversaw the antisemitic firebombing of a Melbourne synagogue, has now been imprisoned.
