Australia announces $600 million boost to PNG's NRL inclusion

Papua New Guinea will officially enter the National Rugby League in 2028 in a landmark sports diplomacy deal. The agreement is part of a 10-year, $600 million pact made between the two countries as Australia seeks to earn the Pacific nation's loyalty as its regional security partner of choice.
