Australia stands strong on global plastic pollution treaty

Australia says it will hold firm on its support for a global treaty to curb plastic pollution, in the face of pressure from the United States to reject the terms of the pact. A UN meeting this week has been aimed at breaking a deadlock in efforts to broker the agreement.
