‘Australia wasn’t consulted’: PM dismisses Trump’s criticism of Iran war support

US President Donald Trump has hit out at Australia along with a string of allies accusing them of failing to help secure the Strait of Hormuz. It's the second time in just over a week the president has named Australia as global economic impacts place pressure on his handling of the war. The government has reiterated no specific request was made from Washington DC to provide assistance.
