Australian government temporarily allows lower quality fuel to meet domestic demands

The Australian government is still considering how it will respond to the IEA's request to release emergency oil reserves as part of a 400 million barrel global action. However, it's already moved to ease fuel quality standards to boost domestic supply. Dirtier uel will be allowed into the market for two months — to make an extra 100 million litres of fuel available.
