Australian supermarkets named among most profitable in the world

According to the competition watchdog, Australia's supermarkets are among the most profitable in the world. The dominance of Coles and Woolworths means there is little incentive for them to lower prices. But the ACCC's recommendations stopped short of calling for the power to break up the big chains.
