Australians set to receive world's first valveless artificial heart

Up to 10 Australians will soon become the recipients of the world's first valveless artificial heart. Earlier this month, a patient in the U.S. received the new device, and professionals are hoping it can function as a bridge for people with late-stage heart failure.
