Australia’s Jewish communities commemorate International Holocaust Remembrance Day

More than eight decades since the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp Jewish communities are gathering across the globe to mark Holocaust Remembrance Day. Special events are also taking place around Australia tonight where Holocaust survivors and their descendants will commemorate the millions of lives lost in World War II.
