Bondi massacre a ‘surprise attack’, royal commission hears

The Royal Commission into Antisemitism and Social Cohesion has heard last December's Bondi beach massacre was a “surprise attack”. ASIO director general Mike Burgess and Jewish security groups are among those who gave evidence for the second block of hearings, set to focus on the terrorism threat level and security environment in the leadup to the terror attack.
