Building construction supplier, Boral has been fined almost $200,000 after breaching the occupational health and safety act in Victoria. A court heard the company failed to enforce mask-wearing at a quarry, exposing some employees to silica dust which causes an incurable lung disease, and in some cases, lung cancer.
