Both major parties back increased childcare subsidies amid crossbench election complaints

New rules to increase access to subsidised childcare have been endorsed by the federal parliament, as the government clears the decks ahead of the election. But Labor's deal with the Coalition on election donations has outraged the crossbench, who are warning of legal action and claim it's designed to lock minor parties out.
