US TikTok users are being inundated by videos from Chinese influencers seemingly offering a way for consumers to evade Washington's 145% tariffs on Chinese goods, by sourcing popular brands direct from the factories that claim to produce their products. The viral video trend has prompted warnings from trade experts, with some of America's top companies now weighing in.
