Court finds Pauline Hanson racially vilified Greens Senator Mehreen Faruqi

Greens Senator Mehreen Faruqi has won a landmark racial discrimination case against fellow senator and One Nation leader Pauline Hanson. The federal court ruled that Ms Hanson did make racist remarks in what the judge called an "angry personal attack" on social media in 2022. Mehreen Faruqi told reporters outside the Federal Court that the ruling sets a new precedent for hate speech in Australia.
