Crime concerns push Melbourne residents to pay for their own protection

Residents in Melbourne's outer suburbs have resorted to enlisting local security companies, as they face what they describe as a worsening pattern of crime. Victoria's opposition is pointing to the hiring of security guards as evidence the government has lost control, but the state's premier says police have been given all the resources they need.
