Daniel Andrews defends cutting down sacred tree for highway upgrade

Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews has defended the decision to cut down a sacred 350-year-old Indigenous tree for a Victorian highway upgrade. Premier Andrews said traditional owners of the land were consulted and an agreement was reached to cut down the tree. 'We've done it in as respectful a way as we can.' said the Premier.
