Election Day 2025: the countdown begins

Voters across the country have cast their ballots in the 2025 Federal Election. The election is a major test for Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, who will become the first Labor Prime Minister to win back-to-back elections since Bob Hawke, if victorious. Meanwhile, the Coalition led by Opposition Leader Peter Dutton is seeking to return to government after three years out of power. Here is how Election Day unfolded.
