Europe heatwave linked to 1300 deaths, WHO says

The World Health Organization says more than 1300 excess deaths, linked to extreme heat, have been recorded in Europe since mid-last week. The continent is experiencing record-breaking temperatures as the unprecedented heatwave moves east. All-time highs have been recorded in Germany, Poland and the Czech Republic.
