Football Australia extends Socceroos coach Tony Popovic's contract until 2027

A major announcement has been made by Football Australia on the eve of Australia's first game at the World Cup. Tony Popovic has signed a contract extension which will see him coach the men's side through to the Asian Cup campaign in 2027. That boost, as Socceroos players moved to allay concerns over the fitness of striker Mohamed Toure.
