Gorillas test positive for COVID-19 in first known cases among captive primates

Several gorillas at San Diego Zoo have tested positive for COVID-19. After two of the gorillas began coughing on January 6, fecal samples were sent to the California Animal Health and Food Safety Laboratory System (CA HFS) and tested positive for the virus.
