Government's national health report card criticised

The Federal Government has released its first 'well-being statement' to push beyond standard budget measures to assess the state of the nation. The report shows improvements in Australian's life expectancy and feeling of safety, but declines in chronic conditions and homelessness. The Treasurer Jim Chalmers has also fended off criticism the report is inaccurate because it relies on outdated data.
