House prices set for further falls in Sydney and Melbourne

Australia's housing market is becoming increasingly divided as higher interest rates and tax changes work through the sector. Property group Domain says the national median apartment price could rise by as much as 3.3 per cent next financial year while houses could fall by 2.5 per cent. The moves won't be uniform with homeowners in major capital cities at risk of losing tens of thousands of dollars.
