In the lead up to winning the 2022 federal election, Labor promised to elevate First Nation voices and close the gap on social outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. This election, many Indigenous Australians feel there is little on offer from either of the major parties. In South Australia, a prominent elder, cultural custodian, and member of the only state Voice to Parliament, is hoping to be elected to the lower house on Saturday.
