Inflation shock increases the risk of another interest rate rise

The national inflation rate has surged, despite expectations that sustained interest rate hikes would send it in the opposite direction. The Reserve Bank Governor maintains interest rate rises are working but has acknowledged more mortgage pain can't be ruled out.
