Inflation slows to 7 per cent

The latest official inflation figures show price growth eased over the March quarter, supporting the notion inflation may have peaked. On the consumer price index, the headline annual figure was 7.8 per cent in the December quarter, now moderating to an annual 7 per cent, a little over consensus forecasts.
