The year-long war in Gaza has marked the most deadly period of fighting between Israel and the Palestinians in this decades-long conflict. In the occupied West Bank, groups monitoring Israeli settlements say it's also marked a record year for settlement expansion – and more are set to be built. The latest development announced – named Nahal Heletz – will be on an UNESCO World Heritage site just outside Bethlehem.
