King Charles and Queen Camilla arrive in the US

King Charles and Queen Camilla have wrapped up the first of a four-day trip to the United States, seen as one of the most consequential visits of the King's reign so far. The state visit marks the 250th anniversary of the US declaration of independence from British rule. It's also being seen as an opportunity to smooth over rising tensions, with the war in the Middle East and the ongoing Jeffrey Epstein scandal seeing relations between the two countries reach a low point.
